So enjoy browsing through each one and if you know of a site that deserves a little love and attention, don’t be shy to let the world know by commenting below!
Rock & Roll Bride
The ultimate guide for alternative brides. This site is specifically for those who are anti-traditional, non-cookie cutter brides. If you have an inner rebel itching to express herself through all things wedding, this would be the site for you.
Carats & Cake
I love sites that are geared to busy ‘type-A’ individuals. I like organization and I LOVE not having to scour the internet for ten hours to find out what company did what. Carats & Cake allows you to filter real wedding inspiration by city/location and takes a Pinterest style approach with vendor info for each photo! Love THAT!
Brides in our local area of Pittsburgh have an amazing resource at their fingertips! Burgh Brides is a local Pittsburgh wedding blog that caters to all things local for your upcoming wedding! Real weddings and real Pittsburgh style inspiration!
I love DIY and have seen some amazing pieces at various weddings over the years from past brides. This site will give you access to real weddings to inspire off of, recipes that will please anyone on your wedding guest list, you free templates and printables! Score!
I am a bit offbeat by nature so this wedding blog is my spirit-site (get it? hah!). Inspire off of real weddings, experiment with DIY, and learn how to dedicate your wedding registry to pizza delivery for life. All under one metaphoric roof.
The Groom’s List
Groom’s have things they need in order to prepare for their wedding such as groomsmen gifts, their attire, and what style of dress shoe works best for the big day. This site has everything a man could need and it even categorizes it neatly into events leading up to the wedding and the honeymoon afterwards.
Budget Savvy Bride
I am such a frugal person so this site is one of my faves for sure! If you are looking to pinch a few nickels here and there so that you can afford to indulge on the lavish four-tier chocolate mousse-filled wedding cake with edible gold glitter on your wedding day? Chic, this is your site. Real weddings to inspire off of, where to buy used decor and dresses, and tips on how to maximize your budget!
A Practical Wedding
Budgets, logistics, advice, AND inspiration. Bingo! This site is down-to-earth, simple, and yes – practical. They have a ‘get started’ section on the site with wedding checklists and spreadsheets, and even a page for figuring out your wedding budget! Once you are finished there, don’t forget to head on over to ‘Advice & Etiquette’ for tips on dealing with family drama or a bitch bridesmaid. This is probably one of my fave blogs- for sure!
Chic Vintage Brides
No matter the level of obsession with all things vintage, Chic Vintage Brides is the go-to for pure vintage wedding inspiration. Not sure how to navigate the real weddings? They actually have organized their real weddings into categories based on time period or theme. You can click on “Art Deco Weddings” to see examples of themes similar to the Great Gatsby or time travel to the period of Drive-ins and love bugs in “Retro Weddings”.
I simply cannot leave out this giant among the wedding blog world. Say what you will but when all else fails, they are the ‘Walmart’ of wedding blogs. They have advice and suggestions for every type of bride, forums that allow you to chat with brides of the past, present, and future, and even allow you to search for vendors based on your location. The one-stop shop is a must to have listed simply because everything you could want or need can be found on this site.
