Logan and Kirsten | Phipps Conservatory and Botanical Garden
Reflecting back on the wedding day
Kirsten and Logan are such a cute couple – I mean just look at the candids we got on their wedding day! My favorite – that shows off their personalities – is the image where they are leaving the alter together as husband and wife. He throws his arm around her and the expression on his face just says it all! It helps though that their venue was absolutely breathtaking! The flowers and greenery surrounding them made for a perfect backdrop to their love story! This was not my first time photographing at Phipps Conservatory in Pittsburgh, I had been there prior for another wedding the year prior for Ben and Valerie’s wedding.

The entire wedding day was held at the Phipps Conservatory and Botanical Gardens in downtown Pittsburgh. The bride got ready in a bridal room located near the reception and ceremony, by the butterfly garden.
The area of Phipps Conservatory that held as the location for Kirsten and Logan’s wedding ceremony was the outside garden on the east side of the venue. It overlooks the Cathedral of Learning and the landscaping is absolutely breathtaking with multiple tiers of botanicals.
In true Maria Angela fashion, we had to have a little humor and fun with the over-sized play house located near the bridal suite. In my defense – two of the groomsmen (best man and the brother of the bride) went running first into the house (as seen in the windows)!
There are multiple reasons why I loved this reception – the vibrant colors, twinkling lights, white tent space (great for the photographer!), and the backdrop of the outdoor garden at night.
