Ritz Carlton Hotel Wedding
This was my first gender reveal and wedding paired together for me. Marissa contacted me about her Ritz Carlton Wedding in Naples and let me in on this HUGE secret event that she had planned on having done at the end of the nuptials. At first, I admit, I thought that this would be too much both emotionally and logistically for both guests and the couple themselves. Having done so many weddings over the years, the most hectic part of the wedding day is the time between the ceremony and the formal portraits. Guests are leaving, others are trying to say “hello” or catch a peek of the couple as they head towards cocktail hour, families are starting to disperse and the photographers are busy with the coordinators ensuring that those who are needed for portraits do not leave. So what do I think now, post wedding? I was COMPLETELY wrong in my original thinking! The couple swiftly walked down the aisle, both anxious and excited, towards a tall white and silver wrapped box as the guests stood in place awaiting for what came next. With the help of the father of the groom and the two flower girls, the box opened and a cluster of blue balloons came flying out. The entire crowd of family and friends were crying, laughing, and hugging one another. It was such a sight to be seen and the emotions were so high that I had goosebumps and tears while I captured the moments unfolding right in front of me. It was definitely a privilege for me to document and I thank Marissa and Tim for allowing me to do so.
I am so happy for Tim and Marissa and their families and wish them all nothing but the best! Congratulations for both the beautiful and successful destination wedding and the upcoming birth of your new baby boy!
Interview with the Bride
Maria: Why did you choose the Ritz Carlton as your venue?
Marissa: We wanted to find a resort that was turn key and being a location that we knew would be a perfect fit for our short turn around for the wedding.
Maria: What was your favorite moment from your wedding day?
Marissa: Revealing the gender of our baby to our family and friends and the reading of our personalized vows to each other.
Maria: What was the biggest obstacle you faced while planning your wedding or on the wedding day?
Marissa: Being 21 hours away in New Jersey while planning the wedding and rehearsal dinner and trusting that everything would turn out the way we imagined.
Maria: Is there anything you would change, looking back at your wedding day?
Marissa: No, we loved everything.
Maria: Any advice to future brides while they plan their wedding?
Marissa: Enjoy every moment and don’t get stressed over the small things. Everything will work out and everyone will have a great time while they celebrate your big day
