Interview with the Bride…

Why did you choose your ceremony venue?

We immediately fell in love with Longue Vue as we were driving up the long drive way. It’s “castle” look and feel was exactly what we were looking for. Aside from the looks of the place we had wanted our ceremony to be outside, but wanted a venue with a good back up option in case of bad weather and Longue Vue had the best. Both locations were gorgeous!

Why did you choose your reception venue?

Our reception was at the same venue as our ceremony. In addition to the beautiful venue, Longue Vue’s wedding coordinator, Hannah, was amazing! From our first meeting with her until the end of our wedding day she had everything handled and made everything more perfect than I had pictured. She definitely played a huge factor in us choosing Longue Vue.

Did you face any obstacles while planning your wedding?

Overall the wedding planning was pretty smooth, but we did have one problem. Six weeks before the wedding I found out that the seamstress had not began the alterations on my dress. We had dropped it off with the bridal shop’s seamstress months prior and she kept pushing back my fittings. We finally found out this was because she did not have anything done. The whole bottom of my dress was appliqués that needed taken off and replaced to be able to hem the dress and six weeks before they were all still on the dress. Thankfully a family friend jumped in and got my dress done in time!

Did everything go as planned on your wedding day?

Aside from having to move the ceremony inside instead of on the outside patio, yes!

Looking back on your wedding day, is there anything you would have done differently?

I wouldn’t change a thing! Everything was better than I could’ve imagined and the day was filled with so much love

Your favorite wedding day moment…

I loved every second of the whole day, but my favorite was walking down the aisle and seeing Greg for the first time.

Any advice or tips to give to a Bride-To-Be?

I know it’s cliché, but soak in every second! The day goes so fast and all your planning is done in one day, so make sure you enjoy it! The last few weeks leading up to the wedding get very overwhelming, but in the end the day will be perfect no matter what. Try not to stress the small things.
