A Naples Yacht Club Wedding

Naples, Florida

Photographer’s Notes

Sarah and Tyler had a gorgeous clear and sunny Florida day for their Naples Yacht Club wedding. I loved the combination of colors used as I have only seen this done once before at a wedding in the Riviera Maya. Sarah did a wonderful job incorporating the nautical themed decor into her big day and the light blue suits that were worn by the groomsmen were well picked in my opinion. It was also the first time in years that I had to wrangle together a wedding party consisting of over 20 people for portraits. Everyone listened attentively though and we got some amazing photos as a result.

I want to wish the very best to the Clemson Alumni newlyweds: Tyler and Sarah. May your days together be filled with belly busting laughs, warm hugs, and passionate kisses!

Happy viewing!

Interview with the Bride:

Maria: Why did you choose the Naples Yacht Club as your venue?
Sarah: We chose the Naples Yacht Club because it was the perfect venue for our wedding. From the beautiful lawn on the water to the elegant reception room it fit perfectly with our idea of our wedding. Also since we went with a nautical theme- the venue was consistent with the theme and didn’t need lots of decorations.
Maria: What was your favorite moment from your wedding day?
Sarah: Probably my favorite moment was our first dance because it wasn’t totally planned out-we just had fun and went for it.
Maria: What would you say was your biggest obstacle while planning your wedding?
Sarah: Probably my biggest obstacle was the budget, and I blame Pinterest for that! Pinterest is a very useful tool but you keep seeing other things you could do and it becomes hard to commit to only some of the million plus ideas you will have!
Maria: Looking back on your wedding day, is there anything you would change, knowing what you know now?
Sarah: The only thing I would have changed would have been to take the  entire week before the wedding off to finish everything. I only took Wednesday through Friday off and with a house party Thursday, 100 person rehearsal dinner Friday on the Naples princess, wedding Saturday, and brunch on Sunday it was hard finishing all the details!
Maria: Any advice to the bride currently planning her own wedding?
Sarah: Have fun it’s an amazing process! And take extra time-you will need it!
