Steve and Jessica | Fairmont Hotel Wedding
Reflecting back on the wedding day
We started off our day at Jessica’s home where she got ready for her wedding at First Lutheran Church and the Fairmont Hotel in downtown Pittsburgh. The bridesmaids’ dresses were a royal shade of blue and the men wore a classic black and white tuxedo. The colors actually went quite well with the church decor and for the reception, the blue uplighting tied in the blue hue perfectly. I was ecstatic that we were able to find parking so easily in downtown for the portraits at the Cathedral of Learning. It was SO hot out, however this did not stop us from getting some gorgeous portraits of the bride and groom in front of the building and on the stairwell. I was also excited about the different location chosen for the family portraits. Typically family portraits are done at the church for logistic reasons, however the bride and groom were adamant on using the interior lobby of the Fairmont Hotel for formal family portraits and I was happy to accommodate. I loved the city feel it gave for a backdrop during these portraits. Steve and Jessica’s wedding went amazingly well and I wish them a happy and successful start to their married life together! Many well wishes are being sent their way for an eternity of happiness! 🙂
Getting ready of the bride was done at her apartment in Greentree.
First Lutheran Church in Downtown Pittsburgh was where the wedding ceremony was held.
For the portraits, Steve and Jessica wanted to use the Cathedral of Learning.
Reception was held at the Fairmont Hotel in downtown Pittsburgh. This was my first wedding shooting at this venue and is probably now one of my favorites due to the location and the foyer of ceiling to floor glass!
