Interview with the Bride….

We wanted to find a place that had meaning to us. Although we both didn’t go to the University of Pittsburgh for undergrad, we are both still very supportive of our alma maters. Also, Heinz Chapel is absolutely gorgeous, so we were very excited that we were able to secure the venue for our date! We also liked the antique look and feel of the Pittsburgh Athletic Association. It’s very timeless and classic, and Mike, the wedding coordinator, is great!

The only obstacle we really faced when planning our wedding was distance… We planned the wedding from Michigan, so it was a bit challenging to organize some of the finer details since we were away from the Pittsburgh area.

Yes, indeed it did. It was absolutely perfect from start to finish. And, if something didn’t go as initially planned, we have yet to figure it out.

If anything, I think we would have focused more on getting posed pictures with the guests, or smaller groupings with the bridal party, siblings, or family members. Also, the party lasted longer than we had planned, so we wish we had more shots from later in the night.

There were too many great moments during the day to name a favorite, but I can narrow it down to two. One favorite is when we were exchanging vows during the ceremony and the other is when we were having our first dance. In those moments, I felt like it was just he and I.

Get your fiance to do the planning! David was intimately involved in the planning process… and it was AWESOME.
