Photographer’s Note:

As you can see by the amount of images posted  (over 40!) that Patrick and Megan’s The Club at the Strand Wedding was nothing short of FUN! I had a blast photographing these two during their engagement session, one year ago. It was then that I knew that their wedding was going to be such a blast to document.

Patrick and Megan decided to have their wedding at The Club at the Strand here in Naples, Florida. We started the day photographing her and her bridesmaids with hair and makeup inside of the library (of sorts) at The Strand. That is one of the many reasons why I love this venue for weddings, you are able to get ready in a beautifully decorated library/den. Equipped with a mini library, fireplace, and distressed brown leather couches. From there we had the privilege of staging a “Reveal” or better known as a “First Look” between the bride and groom. We thought (at last minute) that it would be a great idea to blind fold him and I am so glad we did! To see the reaction of both the bride and groom during the reveal and at the same time, was amazing, to say the least. This is one concept that I may have to carry through with other weddings as well.  🙂 The Club at the Strand Wedding

From there, the wedding was a whirlwind of laughs, tears… a little sweat, and tons of hugging, kissing, and dancing! Congratulations to Patrick and Megan!!!! YOU DID IT! May you enjoy the best of what life has to give and don’t forget to laugh it off, live to the fullest, and don’t sweat the small stuff!

Interview with the Bride:

Maria: What was your biggest obstacle during the planning process, or on the wedding day?

Megan: The biggest obstacle I would have to say was just relaxing the day of. The entire planning process I was relaxed, and just kind of a go with the flow kind of bride. But, on the day of, with all the nerves rushing around and not really seeing Patrick and everyone running around like ants, I felt a little overwhelmed. Everything turned out completely AMAZING but I wish I would have taken it in a little more and relaxed. It was funny too, because there was a comment made by one of my bridesmaids the day of, and she said, ” Megan, this is the most serious I have ever seen you!” Who knew??? The Club at the Strand Wedding

Maria: What was the best memory of your wedding day?

Megan: The best memory by far, was during the ceremony, when Patrick read his vows to me.. it felt really good to be standing up there and saying the things you always want to say to the person who means the most to you, in front of EVERYONE!  and honestly the rest of the night went by so fast and we had Soo much fun that everything else was almost a blur!

Maria: Why did you choose the Club at the Strand for your wedding venue?

Megan: We choose the Club at the Strand, simply because I loved the ceremony site.I thought it was ideal for how I wanted to walk out down those grand stairs to meet my groom. I almost didn’t even go to see it! we were on our last straw with finding a venue, when a friend referred me to go check it out. I’m really glad we did, as all the staff was incredible, and Amanda the wedding coordinator made everything happen flawlessly! Also, I knew they had great reviews, and I had herd awesome things about the food, which was a big deciding factor, because who wants to go to a wedding and eat bad food!

Maria: What tips would you have for future brides out there?

Megan: As far as tips go.. DO YOUR research, and pick good vendors, and ones according to your style. They made all the difference to my wedding. I sincerely know that I choose the Best for me, and my wedding worked out perfectly. Also, as far as that day goes, relax, and enjoy!!!,  and every once in a while sneak off with your groom and just take it all in. The day is about you two after all! It really is a one of a kind day with all the people you love, so literally STOP. AND LOOK AROUND. you’ll be amazed.
